MetaIndustry4 participated actively in Hannover Messe 2019

In the framework of the Fair, the Cluster participated as a member of the European delegation in a Europe-Canada parallel clusters meeting

For second time, and thanks to the support of IDEPA the Economic Development Agency of Principality of Asturias, MetaIndustry4 has had the opportunity to participate as part of the Asturian delegation at Hannover Messe 2019, the most important industrial fair in the world.

One more year, the Principality of Asturias has counted on an institutional pavillion under the brand Asturias Digital Innovation Hub AsDIH, the ecosystem of advanced manufacturing and connected industry of the region and represented by the technological centers Idonial and CTIC , as well as the main Asturian clusters in this field, among which is MetaIndustry4.

The pavillion of the Principality of Asturias was located in the heart of the Fair, and it attracted the interest of visitors thanks to elements such as the 3D airborne printing factory, developed by Idonial for the European Defense Agency , an authentic “portable” factory prepared to operate in conflict zones; or the W3C (Web of Things) technologies demonstrator applied to achieve the necessary level of interoperability between systems to develop connected industries 4.0, presented by CTIC.

In the framework of the Fair, MetaIndustry4 participated, selected by the European Clusters Collaboration Platform, as a member of the European delegation in the Europe – Canada clusters meeting. The meeting was aimed to identify collaboration opportunities among European and Canadian organizations on topics such as: Digital technologies, artificial intelligence or advanced manufacturing and industrial automation. During the event, MetaIndustry4 established more than 20 contacts and meetings, mainly with clusters organizations or entities that support or coordinate the work of these from 11 different European countries besides the Canadian organizations. As a result of the meeting, it have been opened collaboration ways for future european projects consortia. Likewise, meetings have been held with the consortium of the IoT4Industry H2020 Innosup project, of which MetaIndustry4 is Cluster Ambassador. This project has opened a call for proposals aimed at the adoption of IoT solutions in the industry , for which the Cluster acts as a facilitator before the consortium for its members.

Hannover Messe is internationally recognized as the most important industrial fair in the world and the participation of MetaIndustry4, thanks to the Asturian government support, is a great opportunity to continue on the path of international positioning of the Cluster, giving visibility to the activities and projects developed by the organization and its members.
